Valve inspection at the supplier
Control, check and butterfly valves verified in the workshop against the order, specification and ITP: from documents to leak tests, through to release for shipment.

Valve types
Industrial valves for oil & gas, energy and process plants, with actuators and accessories.
What we check
Every point is tied to the approved ITP: Hold, Witness or Review. We witness the supplier's tests and record results, measurements and photos.
- VAL-01
Document review
Material certificates (EN 10204 3.1), drawings, datasheets, test procedures and instrument calibration.
- VAL-02
Visual and dimensional check
Face-to-face, flanges and sealing faces, connections, finish and conformity with the approved drawing.
- VAL-03
Shell hydrostatic test
Test pressure and holding time per standard, with no visible leakage.
- VAL-04
Seat leakage test
Seat-plug tightness with water, air or gas, compared with the required leakage class.
- VAL-05
Functional and stroke tests
Stroke, opening and closing times, positioner response, limit switches and accessories.
- VAL-06
Fugitive emissions
Helium test with mass-spectrometer leak detector on packing and body joints, when specified.
- VAL-07
Coating and marking
Dry film thickness (DFT), nameplates, markings and match with tag and PO.
- VAL-08
Final inspection and packing
Protection, packing, packing list and final documentation, up to the Inspection Release Note.
- NCR
Non-conformities
Every deviation is recorded against the reference requirement and followed until closure.
Reference standards
We apply the standards named in the order and the client's specification. The most common for valves:
| Scope | Reference |
|---|---|
| Valve inspection and testing | API 598 |
| Pressure testing of metallic valves | ISO 5208 · EN 12266-1 |
| Control valve seat leakage | IEC 60534-4 · FCI 70-2 |
| Fugitive emissions | ISO 15848-1 |
| Pipeline valves | API 6D |
| Material certificates | EN 10204 |

Standards apply when required by the order; acceptance criteria are those of the approved specification.
